On your laptop or computer, go to the settings and then to its WiFi list.
You will find Edimax SSID there. You simply will need to tap on it to connect to it.
Once connected, open a browser on the same device phone/computer.
Next, into the address bar type edimaxext.setup and hit enter. This will bring the edimax extender login page on the screen.
If this login url is not working for you then try 192.168.2.2 and hit enter. This is a default ip address of the edimax extender and using this also you can login into the repeater’s setup page.
Nevertheless, on the login page select the WiFi network that you want to extend.
Next, type its password and apply the settings. If this method is not working for you then try the second method.

Method 2

Before using this method we recommend you to reset the extender once.
You can do that by putting a paper clip inside the reset hole of the extender for around 10 seconds.
Now, wait until you see the stable power led on the extender again.
Next, press the wps button on the extender and within 2 minutes press the wps button on the router too.
Now, if you don’t know where to find the wps button then have a look at the front or back of the router. The WPS sign looks like two arrow chasing each other in a circle.
Anyways the setup will be completed within next 30-40 seconds.

After the setup is complete we recommend you to place this extender halfway between your router and the location where you will be using the WiFi diffuser.

First and foremost you will need to plug the smart WiFi diffuser into an electrical outlet using its power adapter.
Next, connect your phone to the 2.4GHz network of your WiFi extender. Moreover this device doesn’t support 5GHz so make sure to connect your phone only to the 2.4GHz.
Next you will need to download and install the app that it tells you in the manual or on the box. Most commonly used app for these models is eWeLink app. So you can download and install it on your android or an iOS device.
Next, you will need to create an account on the app an dlogin into the app.
On the apps home page tap on the “+” icon to add the diffuser.
Next, press and hold the power/wifi button on the smart WiFi diffuser for around 5 seconds. Release the button once you see a blinking light on it.
Next, select your 2.4GHz WiFi network name and type its password for verification.
Once you hit save it will then take around 60 seconds for the WiFi diffuser to get connected to your WiFi extender.
After successful pairing you will be able to name your device for home automation. You can connect this device with alexa too or just use it using its app.
So, even if you are not at home, you can control the diffuser using its app.
